 Our Mission: Chaves County CASA
is Court Appointed Special Advocates, a non-profit agency that
provides a powerful voice for children. Our
Vision: CASA believes that every child should have a
safe, loving and forever home.
We are getting our mojo on for the New Year. We had a very successful Christmas season. I am always overwhelmed by the immensity of the tragedies that occur during the holidays. However, they are always outweighed by the miracles of generosity around every corner. Thanks to all of you for making our successes possible.
· Thanks also for the prayers and support for Theresa, whose father died, and Pat, who remains ill but is hopeful. She will be out getting a good rest over the next few weeks. Volunteers can take any case questions to her.
· There are some staff changes afoot since our beloved Cynthia left. Kristen Salyards is now our Operations Coordinator, Mary Colby is the Volunteer and Training Coordinator, and Lydia Saiz is our Domestic Violence Coordinator. They are all enthusiastic about the transition.
· See the news below about Make Time For Kids. We are excited about holding the fun event again this year.
· Blessings on all of you in the year ahead.

January CASA of the Month
Debbie Luevano
· Mary Colby says “Debbie has some very hard cases. She is aggressive in her advocacy for her CASA kids. She works well with all parties involved. She keeps a great attitude and always has a smile on her face. Debbie has also been helping us to get a Girls Circle going in the middle schools. She has generously given of her time and has opened up about her own life experiences in ways that absolutely reach these girls. Debbie is jewel.”
